What do you dislike about the product?

Maybe there is a possibility to make the default metasploit payload more complex, not so easy to be detected by each AV. To put there more encoding iterations

I like that I can use multiple sessions at the same time.

Searching modules, couldn't find the right module for a particular task.

Definitely it's a all in one tool, I have used metasploit to pivot into different networks did lateral movements etc. Everything is available on it.

One downside to exploit is that the list of exploits may not be up to date. Although Metasploit provides extremely useful documentation, sometimes the explanations are extremely brief and not easy to follow.

What do you like best about the product?

This tool is useful to learn and understand vulnerabilities that exist within a system. You are able to learn what exploits and payloads can be used on the vulnerability. I like that it is an automated tool that carries out the exploitation on the system and we are able to see what information is disclosed based on the payload and vulnerability exploited. Great penetration testing tool. I also like that you can perform a vulnerability and discovery scans.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Read the documentation that is provided on the Metasploit webpage. They have extremely useful information from how to set up the tool to how you can choose which exploits and payload to use. There are so many things that you can do with Metasploit so definitely take time to understand all of the features it consists of. This is definitely a tool to consider if you are doing penetration testing. It is customizable and can be used in most operating systems.
