We use it for our ecommerce website.
We host a Drupal based CMS on the Acquia cloud.
We also use the solr search offered by the cloud along with dbms

Initial implementation and setup is a bit difficult to manage.
Limited documentation available.
Unable to use blue-green deployment.

Very easy to learn for a new user.
Rich with features like SSH, DBMS, Cloud IDE, Pre and Post deploy hooks.
