What do you dislike?

The administration UI is cluttered and difficult to navigate

The quick visual ability to run powerful reports is at the fore. it's simply fantastic!

I dont like that when someone else use your account and you try to login. You just cant until logged in user just logs out. I know that licensing is important but i think yellowfin can solve this problem. Maybe previous user can be forced to logout

What do you like best?

First of all yellowfin is fast no matter how much your data is big. With the help of the easy to use interface we can create , manipulate or filter data easily. Yellowfin is usable even to non technical users.

We can handle adminisrator operations easily and with the manageable forms and dashboards are so useful for our customers.

Making data meaningful is important even with non-important data.

What do you dislike?

UI can be a bit clunky or inconsistent, there are instances where I would expect a setting or configuration to be in one place, but it is elsewhere instead. It can also be challenging to re-associate reports with views or data sources without a significant amount of UI navigation.

What do you like best?

Easy to create data relationships with UI, even for users not familiar with using Joins in SQL. Also the fact that the solution tracks changes to reports and views as they are changed. Lastly, the search feature is really well developed and makes it easy to find a specific report.

This is a powerful tool, make sure you fully understand and take advantage of everything it can do. Also ensure you make good use of the training and resources provided by Yellowfin for your staff who may be using it.

What do you dislike?

The Yellowfin product is somewhat restrict with licensing keys. The keys have to be replaced annually by email. The upgrade process is complex but the support staff assists as needed.

What do you like best?

The Yellowfin product is easy to integrate and offers great support. The flexibility is great embedding with our Tomcat and Oracle db product.

Setting up the reports requires a degree of technical ability and there can be a misconception on this

You can create a great variety or reports. It works for both tabular and graphical

The system does not seem not as fast as I would have liked, but I would not complain yet!!

Simple user interface, excellent training videos in YF University, excellent technical and functional support by a dedicated and responsive team, affordable to all segments of our customers, good licensing policy. Ability to embed YF into any application is a great idea.

Generating diagrams with data are good but system does not support Turkish language.

The fact I didn't find them two years ago when we set off on the path of embedding another BI product which turned out to be more difficult to use and had a very inflexible commercial model!

What do you like best?

Excellent functionality and a very flexible product with a wide ranging style of reports. It was very easy and quick to get started.

We've embedded Yellowfin into our software application and our users love the clean, modern style of its appearance. There's an interesting collaboration element to it we've not seen in other BI products.

The commercial terms for embedded use were by and far the best compared to other BI products (we evaluated several including open source options).. We've had excellent technical and commercial support from the Yellowfin team.
