While the product integrates easily, the options for customising are limited - we had a requirement to intercept certain events but the product doesn't support this.

YellowFin are a great team to work with, from pre-sales through to technical support on a live implementation.

Ease of integration into our online solution so that it appears to be a seamless part of our product.

What do you dislike?

Yellowfin is a very very hard tool. Even a smallest change I want to make takes hours. It should be much more user friendly. In addition, I think there should be more development. For example; I cannot change the format (cannot change color or size) of characters in "Totals" column. (Aggregation)

What do you like best?

Yellowfin allows group and analyze all data easily in a short time. Thanks to filters I can choose user prompt or more spesific, it is very easy to filter and save the reports.

What do you dislike?

No one ever likes the pricing, right? It's a little over what we're paying now, but they do offer more data connections, more users, and don't charge extra for white labeling --so that could compensate for the pricing.

They don't bill you per data connection like a lot of the softwares I've looked into.

Speak with a regional manager, they are your best bet for getting all of your questions answered --they help to relieve some stress in the research process too, since it seems like they have everything you'll need.

Better support needed from the yellow fin support team

We have been using yellowfin for our organization and it provides great deal of flexibility to almost tailor the dashboard as per our needs.

Sending reports to external (non Yellowfin) users requires an enterprise license.

What do you like best?

It's easy to get started, no clients to install on my computer. Just turn the server and go create reports! The javascript reporting option in 7.3+ opens up a whole new realm of possibilities. Absolutely love it.

Don't think twice about going for it. When you are setting up reports it pays to plan ahead. Yellowfin has powerful linking tools. Leveraging that can seriously cut down on the amount of reports writing needed to get the job done. Yellowfin can also export reports in XML, so you can use one report as a template to create many.

What do you dislike?

Would like to see a little more room for customization in the data presentation that does not require a developer such that in the new release.

What do you like best?

Economical solution that is easy to use and learn for both technical and non-technical resources.

Upgrade from one major version to another can be a painful experience.

-Great support team and low pricing;

-Beautiful colour palette and chars gallery;

-Great data governance, security on all possible levels - rows, columns, views, reports, folders, dashboards;

-Ability to connect to vast number of various data sources;

- 3rd Party connectors - Twitter, YouTube, Facebook Ads, etc;

- Integration with D3.js charts
