What do you dislike about the product?

The thing I dislike about Adobe Captivate is that it is so "Quirky" and by that I mean unstable, unreliable, and sometimes, unusable. I have had problems with Captivate when I upload my files to a server - it won't 'run' like it is supposed to.

What do you like best about the product?

I love writing advanced actions and what you can do with javascript in Adobe Captivate. I don't know of any other program nearly as powerful. I like the different formats you can publish to also.

It can be difficult to capture clean work and require manual cleanup.

It does the job of creating simulations.

I took little longer time to learn the product. I had created long simulation of RPA software with audio and video support.while working, sometime, system hangs.i need to restart the system. Also, please reduce the software cost.

Captivate is helpful in:
Creating interactive content.
Designing experiential simulations for software training
Developing responsive output.
Integrating links,audio,video and other resources
Interesting quizzes and assessment
Tracking user score and helps in user journey analytics
Providing strong communities to discuss developer issues and quick time resolutions

It's a powerful tool for instructional designer and trainers to create interactive e-learning and experiential software training.

What do you dislike about the product?

I came to dislike Captivate once I began to use other eLearning dev apps. And, as time went along, Adobe never updated or added new features to the app. Still today 2023, we are using a version from 2019.

This factor has lead me to use another app,

I only use Captivate for legacy projects, ones that have Captivate project files as the content.

What do you like best about the product?

I have been using Captivate since its conception, along with Corel. At the time, Captivate was the leader and maybe the only app for eLearning development. It was difficult to use, very powerful, loaded with features and certainly did the job.

I must have created over 300 eLearning SCORM and MP4 files over 20 years.
