What do you dislike about the product?

One thing I wish Workday Adaptive Planning would do better is the integration between Adaptive and Workday HR so that we can automate our workforce planning with-in Adaptive.

What do you like best about the product?

Workday Adaptive Planning is a fantastic financial planning and analysis solution that's all about making things easier for finance teams. What I love about it is how user-friendly it is - even if you're not a financial expert, you can use it with ease. And if you need to customize it to fit your business's unique needs, you can do that too.

What do you dislike about the product?

I wish that it had direct plugins with more HCM providers. It would make it much easier for planning purposes when updating the forecasted roster, rather than having to manually upload a roster every time we update the forecast.

What do you like best about the product?

Incredibly user-friendly! I have had people who are not particularly technologically-savvy (outside of Finance) use it to review expenses, and they have picked it up quickly. The OfficeConnect plugin makes monthly reporting very easy, as well as updating forecasts on a regular basis.

What do you dislike about the product?

It has limitations if you are used to Excel. However, Excel also has constraints that Adaptive Planning to capable of doing.

What do you like best about the product?

Able to do planning and budgeting across the organization with such ease. No confusion on versions, department and entity-level accountabilities.

What do you dislike about the product?

I would like more tutorials and best-practice examples so we can become power users and allow Adaptive to reach it's full potential. I think the Office Connect tool is great but better ease of use features/tutorials would be helpful.

What do you like best about the product?

Adaptive Office Connect is a very useful tool as it allows us to automate our work, show data quickly and accurately, and be more productive. The planning tool report feature is a key component in our monthly workflow.

What do you dislike about the product?

After the initial build, you really need to know how the behind-the-scenes work in order to make any significant changes in Adaptive. Workday offers limited resources for free and often will require users to spend money for anything beyond basic level support. I also think the "Planning" Excel Add-On needs major work in order to be leveraged as a useful tool. It can be buggy and does not scale well.

What do you like best about the product?

Adaptive's reporting capabilities are unmatched. Having the ability to pull data into Excel leveraging Adpative's OfficeConnect add-on and then being able to seamlessly build reports/models that are repeatable and scalable has saved countless hours for our company and has provided leadership with visibility into our financials like never before.

What do you dislike about the product?

The training on workday is definitely long. I think if you don't use it on a daily basis it can be difficult to get used to. I would like a reference sheet to refer to when trying something new on it.

What do you like best about the product?

I enjoy using adaptive in our excel files. I am able to pull all of our GL accounts and leverage that to create financial reporting, planning and budgeting. It's easy to use as well.

- not always intuitive to find the settings
- you always need to keep in mind which filters to use for inputs
- certain limitations like direct input in some cells

- very good customizing options
- flexible report building possible
- large magnitude of integrations with different tools
- easy onboarding also for non-Finance people

What do you dislike about the product?

I don't have any complaints! It does everything we need it to.

What do you like best about the product?

Getting out of an excel based budget process and into Adaptive transformed our entire department, processes, and outputs. The efficiency and scalability we gained is incredible, and our budget managers no longer dread the quarterly budget/forecast process like they used to. That goes double for me as the budget administrator.

What do you dislike about the product?

The formulas and reporting features can be difficult to learn and use. I previously modeled in Excel, and the formulas in Adaptive are often overly complicated.

What do you like best about the product?

Workday Apdative Planning is synced directly to Workday Financial so I can load my monthly actuals seamlessly each month and my forecast will update accordingly.
