Nothing, for the tasks I have performed it was very helpful

Easy to use for creating model and run simulation

Easy to use, good support, easy GUI, as good as other professional CFD packages

Mesh running too slow and requirement for medium laptop

Only con is it can take a while sometimes for complex problems.

Its fluid dynamic simulation is very accurate when compared to other softwares available. User interface is very easy. Totally recommend it.

It's very easy to use, compact and very accurate software. I totally recommend it. Mechanical design engineers can totally depend upon it.

It lacks a lot of features, such as the ability to change the type of mesh (for example, from triangles to quad).

What do you like best about the product?

Autodesk CFD is easy to use and does not require a lot of nastran knowledge to be used.

What do you dislike about the product?

It lacks the ability to edit the shapes, you will need a cad software alongside to try and edit the shapes you have then import them back in cfd.

Pretty accurate fluid dynamics simulation, thermal simulations are pretty accurate as well, it covers a lot of scenarios and different types of sources.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

You will need to have a cad software alongside cfd, it's pricey so make sure you need all the features it provides before buying it as other softwares are cheaper but do not have the same features as Autodesk cfd.

The fluidic simulations take a lot of time because of the increased number of nodes involved with complicated geometry such as tumblers, boilers etc.

This software has very high processing capabilities. It's meshing speed is higher than other CFD software.

Run individual simulations separately and then combine meshes to run an overall simulation

I hated the inability to make calculations in a complex object.

I like the interface. It was intuitive.

It's not as sophisticated as some other software programs.

I like that it's an easy to use analysis for when you need something done quickly.

It's an easy to use analysis tool that gives you what you need when in the design process.
