What do you dislike?

The lack of information, sometimes there is not enough information.

The way we can connect to another databases and extract the information from Hana side

Good performance and easy integration

Nothing to say here, a lot of advantages without any noticeable disadvantage

HANA DB came to stay and improve how the data processing is done, fast and reliable helping every sector in the big companies

SAP is not easy to configure and administer from a basis/functional point of view

HANA has a massive computing ability. It will be a solid investment that will see them move into an age of real-time, intelligent business systems.

What do you dislike?

SAP not including partner feedback. Limited options for service providers (cross-customer topics). Overregulated deployment options (even after TDI 5). Studio in Java is sometimes very slow.

What do you like best?

SAP standardizing on SAP HANA (limiting variability). Connectivity to other applications - not isolated product but part of wider ecosystem.

What do you dislike?

The tools has limited feature for hierarchy and slow changing dimension data modeling.

What do you like best?

Real time feature, data provisioning, data modeling, code migration, In memory processing, SQL script, input parameters,parallelisation and dynamic tie ring

Recommendations to others considering the product

Try to build features for hierarchy data modeling similar to SAP BW and also build slowly changing dimension modeling

What do you dislike?

It's still not as mature as other database products, which is a given,. But the real drawback is the costs for workloads other than SAP.

The amazing performance for many workloads ensures that the user base can perform their tasks in a whole new way with greater abilities than in the past.

Do not proceed to do this as a big bang, rolling out smaller units is necessary when using with S/4. Its a major change.

Low speed one to not match our wishes and demand

High speed data base to fit oour requiement

The only thing is my experience currently big maschine - which is not really perfect for HA scenarios in some documentation you can read about a distributed system - like BW.
