What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We use it to provision new server VMs. It is really easy to use so it allows multiple people on our team the ability to provision new resources, allowing us to not be bottlenecked when needing a new server spun up.
What do you dislike?
So far there is not much to dislike about Google Compute Engine. I guess the hardest thing is that it takes a few clicks in order to find what SSH keys are on that box and to add in another one. But Compute Engine does provide a GUI management tool for adding and removing SSH keys which is really handy.
What do you like best?
It is super easy to resize an instance while I am developing for a project. This allows me to use more resources to set everything up quickly and then reduce the size for lower continued costs. Also it is extremely easy to connect to the VM though the Google Console by using the SSH button.
