What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Free document program that is easily accessible for students and colleagues who do not have access to Office or are anable/unwilling to pay the high fees they charge.
What do you dislike?
The powerpoint substitute is difficult to navigate and doesn't covert well or open well in word. I have also had problems with editing word documents in both open office and word, although this is rare.
What do you like best?
I am able to do almost everything I can in other document products and the files are more or less compatable with open office. I also like the save a s PDF function.
Recommendations to others considering the product
This is a great alternative to more costly word-processing systems. However, if you are preparing a presentation it is best to save in Pdf as this is the only guarantee that the presentation will look as you intended when you prepared it. Also, be watchful of how you save the document - as word/office or as an open-office file.
