Effective Learning and Resource Management Tool for IT Professionals
What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We have 100+ students who create virtual machines in VMware, and we use vSphere to manage the machines, as well as our servers and network resources.
What do you dislike?
It is not the most intuitive software, and requires a lot of training. Users should already be familiar with VMWare, and how hypervisors work.
What do you like best?
We have several servers set up for virtual machines, and resource sharing, and vSphere makes it easy to manage what resources are available.
Recommendations to others considering the product
There is a definite learning curve, so make sure you spend time researching features. As with any software, the more you use and experiment, the more you understand the capabilities and how to access them.
