What do you dislike?

I asked for student access and I was granted but I never could download the software and use it. I tried reaching out to Tibco on 'multiple occasions' and haven't heard back from them yet. I am still yet to try the software for the very first time and it's disappointing that my concerns haven't been addressed to even now.

What do you like best?

So far nothing as I haven't been able to download the software. Every time I try it says 'ERROR' .

The only problem is that imported shapefiles can not be edited in Spotfire.

Spotfire is the best tool I have come in contact with for graphics and maps for presentations in my career.

What do you dislike?

The options to customize the report is a little hideous. The power engine is not as fast as that of Power BI. The drill down is also a little weird. The options to customize the reports and various charts and graphs are not as good as that of the tableau.

The UI is easy to interpret. I have used Tableau and Power BI previously but when I started using this one, I found it comparatively easy.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I would moderately recommend it.

What do you dislike?

I'd like a larger variety of visualizations. For example, in the map view, the ability to place 3D colums on top of the map. Or for example being able to place heat maps right on top of the map without the need of an external georeference

I like the ease in which you can create visualizations when the data is prepared to do so

What do you dislike?

Since it is not free, sometimes other people don't have it and I cannot share the files

I like the easiness how plots can be changed and filtered to find patterns in the data

I recommend TIBCO for Exploratory analysis of data

Could be cheaper for early career researchers.

It's very intuitive and help to achieve desired results and often much more in fraction of time.

Different terminology from other products such as Tableau and Power BI, presents a learning curve

The UI can be challenging to pick up and tutorials can be lacking for complete beginners.

The high quality graphics that can be used and data manipulation tools available to present data in new and informative ways.
