What do you dislike?

Price point for a server is a little higher than expected.

What do you like best?

The ability to create reports with minimal effort. It has a template for quick report building.

What do you dislike?

Interface can be extremely finicky. The slightest touch of an object can push it out of alignment. Can't copy and paste different types of objects at the same time.

Being able to generate forms automatically based on data in a database is a godsend. The form being able to dynamically grow based on the number of rows in report, makes it incredibly flexible.

Complexity of customization and creating new reports.

Ease of running the ready report and export function, integration with Sage software

Have someone create the reports for you. perhaps the newer versions are better. i'm running 2011

Right now I don't see any issue all features are goog

Very easy to use. Lots of interactive charts

Using a separate application to schedule the reports can be cumbersome.

The ability to merge data sources and then slice and dice.

The lack ability to combine multiple data source without causing a delay

Crystal report UI is easy to use. You could write your own SQL statement within the report. It's easy to connect to different type of databases and comes with different drives. Pretty easy to learn.

Some actions can not be undone. You have to scrap all and start over

Easy setup to make the software user friendly and have the T codes that you need on an everyday baisis.

There is a steep learning curve which can be daunting to new comers

Gives the freedom to organize and filter data

What do you dislike?

One of the downsides is that you would need someone experienced in developing the reports that you can create in SAP Crystal. We were fortunate enough to have an in-house developer who knew what to do and what we needed. Additionally, I have heard that it can be a bit pricey when switching from another software.

What do you like best?

SAP Crystal provides the customization for the various reports that we generate on a daily basis and also allows for multiple users to feed and draw data from it. I like having everything is one place with the flexibility of expanding or changing if need be.

Recommendations to others considering the product

It really is a must that you already have a developer on staff or can contract one out for the reports that you need. It's not necessary, but it will save you more time and get to exactly what you need.
