What do you dislike?

Microsoft Projects is miserable if you are used to Excel. You cannot sort, export to Excel, make mass changes or expand all the tasks within your project. It takes more time to do small tasks in Projects than 90% of my work on a daily basis.

What do you like best?

Very easy to make charts to see personnel allocations

It's not particularly innovative, but again, the ease of integrating with my email, OneNote, and dropbox functions were nice.

Microsoft is good at integrating its whole suite of products. Because our organization was committed completely to all things Microsoft, this management software had fewer barriers to use than other options.

Limited ability to use unusual colors in highlights and words. A better tool to correct errors (easier to use)

It is easy to assimilate, you learn quickly to use each funtionality. Diagrams and reports are generated automatically. Task inspector functionality allows you to quickly correct errors on resource occupancy and gives you the best suggestions to be applied. The wizard for gantt diagrams allows you to configure the type of report you want to generate depending on the user's profile, and it is generated in no more than 5 clicks

If your company requires a tool that allows you to define tasks and activities, durations, start and end dates, precedences, resources involved, budgets, critical path identification, reports and reports of project performance, you must prove it. It is also the most reputable and useful tool in the business world, with training courses that allow you to manage, control and manage projects responsibly and professionally.

Microsoft is always a little behind when it comes to editing tools and usability.

Keeps everything organized and in once place.

Anything beyond basic scheduling is like digging through a haystack to find what you want to be able to do. If you change a task that has dependents, it is likely to throw off all of the dates after that.

The task building is really easy to manage and create dependents.

This is an excellent tool for building and sharing schedules, but easily gets in its own way to go deeper than that application.

I think the program can become confusing when it comes to being able to organize each column and row. I believe the chart can be a little difficult to understand unless you are the one who organized it.

What do you like best?

The program allows me to organize a schedule in a matter of minutes or hours. The shortcuts are extremely helpful when it comes saving time.

It can save you a lot of time in the design/construction industry and help you organize the building of project smoothly.

It's hard to use for beginners and it's expensive in general

Once it's set up it works wonderful to tack everything on our projects

The program integrates nicely with other commonly used Office programs like World and Excel. Inputting information tends to be a somewhat time consuming process if you normally don't have projects that are similar to each other.

What do you dislike?

It is difficult to navigate and you have to have a lot of prior knowledge to be able to work with it.

What do you like best?

I like that the program really helps you stay organized. Working on a multi-million dollar project can be overwhelming but having the project software allows me to collapse only the items I need to work on in the immediate future. It also allows me to see how delayed the project I am working on is as a whole.

It is difficult to add comments to each task

I like the simplicity of adding tasks and associated information with each task.
